New Announcements at Greenwood!

All,

I wanted to take a few minutes to share a couple of exciting announcements about the Greenwood organization.

Effective January 1, 2020, Chris Champagne will be assuming the role of Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Greenwood Emergency Vehicles.  In his new assignment, Chris will be responsible for all aspects of the Sales Department at Greenwood. This job involves managing the sales team, demo vehicle inventory, show schedules, promotions, budgeting, and long term planning for Greenwood.

Chris will also continue his responsibilities as General Manager of the Brunswick Maine service location where he will continue to assist the Service Manager and Foremen with daily operations as well as having responsibility for oversite of the facility and long term planning.

Chris has been an employee of Greenwood since 2003, working as a Regional Sales Manager from 2003-2017, and as GM of our Brunswick Maine operations from 2017-2019.  Prior to joining Greenwood, Chris worked from 2000-2003 selling E-One apparatus for the former Maine dealer, R & R Safety of Maine.

During his time as a direct salesperson Chris has consistently been among E-One’s top performing salespeople, having sold well over 300 E-One and Greenwood apparatus.  In addition to working in apparatus sales, Chris also served as a career Fire Fighter for 25 years with the Portland Maine Fire Department, retiring in December 2018 as a Lieutenant. Throughout his fire service career he worked on numerous companies, gaining experience in Engine Company, Ladder Company, and Heavy Rescue operations, as well as EMS support.  Chris began his fire service career in his home town of Casco, Maine in 1986 as a volunteer while enrolled in college. After graduating from University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s degree Chris continued to serve as a volunteer in the town of Raymond, Maine for 11 years as a Chief Officer.  Chris holds numerous certifications relating to fire/ems, as well as apparatus sales/service such as EVT, FF 1 & 2, A-EMT, Certified Fire Officer, Instructor, Portland FD recruit school instructor, EVOC Instructor, etc.

As Vice President of Sales & Marketing Chris will report directly to the President of Greenwood Emergency Vehicles.

Also effective on January 1, 2020, I am very pleased to announce that Keith Jackson has agreed to take on the role of Director of Ambulance Sales here at Greenwood.  In this new position, Keith will be responsible for developing our Ambulance Sales team and growing our ambulance sales business with the Horton and Wheeled Coach product lines.  Keith has been a great mentor to our sales team members and will continue to assist them in his new role at Greenwood.  Keith brings with him nearly 30 years of experience in ambulance sales having sold Horton’s for Quality Emergency Vehicles (the Horton Dealer before Greenwood) for 10 years prior to joining Greenwood.

Keith has been our top performer for ambulance sales since he began with Greenwood back in 2000 when we were a dealer for AEV.  Keith was instrumental in bringing the Horton product line over to Greenwood in 2002 and has not looked back since.  Since 2000 Keith has sold over 300 ambulances for Greenwood and has maintained a loyal following with our customer base.  In addition to what was essentially a full time job at Greenwood, Keith managed to squeeze in a 35 year career with the Attleboro, MA Fire Department.  Keith was a decorated member of the AFD, earning the Medal of Valor back in 1999 for his rescue of several citizens during a gas explosion in 1998.  Keith retired from the AFD as a Captain in 2018.  Keith continues to serve the fire service through his involvement at the local and state level on the “Peer Support Network” providing CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) services to police, fire, EMS and hospital staffs.   Additionally, he joined the Rhode Island Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums where he serves as a bass drum player and as Keith says, “I managed to drive Joe Cordeiro into retirement with my lack of musical talent.”

Please join me in congratulating Chris and Keith on their promotions.  I am excited about the new year ahead, and I am confident that as our team continues to develop and grow here at Greenwood, there will be many great things to come in 2020 and beyond!

Regards,

Mark
