Our Customer Testimonials

Our wonderful customers are the reason we’re in business. Here are some of the great things they’ve said about us.
  • Chris we had a pipe fail in one of our pumpers and I brought the pipe to Phil in Brunswick and he went the extra mile to help us out. He had Chris make a new one for us so we could get the truck back in service. I just wanted you to know that I really appreciate the service Phil and Greenwood give us. Thank you Chief Gleeson

  • Mark MacDonald, On behalf of the Billerica Fire Department, please excuse the delay in writing this letter of appreciation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ray Brousseau and his staff at Greenwood Emergency Vehicles for his exceptional assistance a few months ago. We were experiencing an issue with one of our vehicles in which Ray and his staffs efforts went above and beyond to try and resolve an issue that we believed may have been a manufacturer defect. Ray contacted the vendor in question and without satisfaction, contacted the vendor a second time with hopes of a better resolution. We forwarded pictures and videos that Ray and his staff broke down and forwarded to the vendor, all this above and beyond our expectations. The end result determined that the item in question was out of warranty. With Ray's expertise, he assisted us with making decisions on an alternative solution that was more cost effective. We feel that when we purchase a vehicle from Greenwood, we are not just getting a new vehicle; we are getting superior service with a very knowledgeable staff. Thank you, Chip Billerica Fire Department

  • Dear Joe, I want to formally thank you and your staff for the excellent training that you provided to my department recently. As you well know training is essential to the safety and job performance of fire service members as we work to serve the public. We thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise of emergency vehicles with us.   Sincerely, L.t Alfred Cunningham Training Officer Whitman Fire-Rescue

  • Why do my warning lights and light bar draw more amps than they did when the truck was new?

Answer: As the lights get older the motors and gears get worn and it takes more amps to move them. The way to correct the problem is to upgrade to LED lights. We can quote you on a complete upgrade for your truck. Contact our Service Department for pricing.

  • Can I drive my ambulance if the suspension air bags in the rear will not go up?

Answer: No, this can cause a serious problem with the driveline and air bags.

  • Who should I call when a check engine light comes on in my truck?

Answer: Call our Service Department first. We can evaluate the problem and advise you on how to proceed. A check engine light will turn into a stop engine light if not corrected.

  • Why is there water in the transfer case of my fire pump?

Answer: There are two reasons water gets into the transfer case. (1) The pump cooler could have a leak. (2) The pump packing could be leaking. When the pump packing leaks, the water will find its way down the impeller shaft and through the transfer case seal.
