Dear Mark,
On behalf of the town of Canterbury and the Canterbury fire department, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to you and the entire Greenwood Emergency Vehicles team for their assistance and guidance with the recent purchase of our new fire truck. This project began in late 2020 when I took over as Chief following a 37+ year career in Manchester, NH where my relationship with you and Greenwood began.
I am appreciative of the professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment Greenwood has demonstrated throughout the process. Purchasing a new apparatus is a significant investment for our community, and it was reassuring to work with a company that understood the importance of providing us with a reliable, well-built truck that will serve our firefighters and community for many years to come.
In large part, it was my trust in and relationship with you, Chris Champagne and others at Greenwood that affected the decision to bring an E-One to Canterbury. In addition, Bob Bernard, whom I’ve come to know through this process. Bob was very knowledgeable about the product, had a good sense of humility and was never hesitant to acknowledge when he could not answer my question because he had to research it. This trait is so valuable in my line of work in comparison to the alternative, being told what he thinks that I want to hear, which was never the case. Bob was persistent without being pushy. I want to be sure to acknowledge Bob’s efforts and persistence in making this sale happen.
Though at times it was a frustrating process, I am extremely pleased with the finished apparatus and look forward to it serving the town for many years to come. We are confident that this new truck will enhance our ability to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us most.
